Over the years the University of Liverpool has worked closely with the Aga Khan Trust for Culture. This is mainly through the University’s ArCHIAM Research Centre, now celebrating its 10th anniversary, which has led several education and research projects, and more recently, been associated with the 2022 Aga Khan Award for Architecture event in Muscat.
The inclusive and global perspective shared by the two institutions, and the Liverpool School of Architecture’s pre-eminent place in design pedagogy and research, has made it possible to bring this Award exhibition to Liverpool.
This showcasing of successful achievements in the built environment is complemented by an exhibition on ArCHIAM’s globally-focused work on making historic sites and heritage relevant.
