The Henry Willis and Sons Organ builder in Everton is one of most famous companies producing some best pipes organs in the world. However, the old working environment for those creative craftsman in present factory are not so satisfying. The main workshop is a box enclosed by heavy brick walls while multiple stages of making different parts are in the same room, which might be not corresponding to creative works here.
Inspired by the form of lightweight pipes, this design is aimed to create a light and transparent workshop space rather than a traditional factory in a feeling of thick brick. Visitors can go up the roof to have a look on what happened inside.
