Grow & Grow
‘Grow & Grow’ is an urban farm and youth centre proposed to reactivate London Road by bringing more young people back into the high street, whilst also providing the local community with fresh produce to encourage sustainable eating. A red steel greenhouse extension envelopes the disused TJ Hughes building, housing fresh produce ready to be sold in the building’s farmer’s market. The old department store will accommodate creative workshops, social spaces and leisure spaces to provide the youth of London Road a safe space to gather, learn and grow.
