In the current climate of technological advancements and mass production the number of traditionally trained craftspeople is getting smaller. This project for the National Slate Museum in Llanberis aims to transform the Anglesey Barracks into a hub for traditional building skills, including working with slate, stone, timber and steel.
The proposed design is an intervention that responds to heritage, topography and socio-economic aspects of the site as well as connection to the client and different communities involved.
