NOW or NEVER
The NOW or NEVER project aims to develop notions of political liberation and activism through the design of a safe gathering space. Here, activists, protesters and locals come together to access educational, creative, and supportive facilities as an act of indirect action. The project aims to extend accessibility to those who are often denied it in an act of protest against the institutional barriers. It hopes, that by providing inclusive, creative, and educational means, the foundation for political liberation can be encouraged and those restricted by institutions will have the opportunity to become activists and protest against inequalities and burdens against them.
Providing facilities like studios, workshops, exhibition space and meanwhile use food stall’s that prioritise local and minority group individuals alone in not the answer but architectural choices to focus on community to enable society the opportunity to enforce change is a good start.
