Reconstruction of the Box
A restoration project which enhances a building once destined
for demolition. Designed with the core principles of the circular
economy; this pottery factory produces unique ceramics from
waste materials primarily coming from local building sites. This net
zero carbon building connects the past and present with its visual
architectural dialogue and contrast of recycled materials which are
manufactured on site.
This long term project will gradually transform and be introduced
over the years. Beginning with the factory to reuse construction
and demolition waste, leading to local artisan businesses and an
exhibition space which will celebrate and showcase the reclamation
the building represents
