PLUG-IN barracks
During the last undergraduate school year I tried two different strategies on making interaction with heritage. The Edge Hill Cube is mainly try not to affect the state of the existing heritage as much as possible. Use the structure of the building as a background to bring out the characteristics of the heritage itself. the result is a design that blends into the site’s surroundings. PLUG-IN barracks is completely another idea, interacting the building with the heritage as much as possible. Using modular design ideas to give the heritage new functions and vitality. Finally, it presents a sense of community that is different from a single building.
