Toxteth Tetrad
The Toxteth Tetrad aims to provide a safe and fun environment for the local residence to participate in sports and educational activities. Located in Toxteth where Upper Stanhope and Berkley street meet. The centre will serve as a central hub for the community creating a destination that caters to a score of different events that Encourage the youth to engage in community led activities. The design focuses on architectural legibility and as a result divides the building into four main spaces. Youth zone/café, education facilities, activity spaces and sports hall. The more private areas (education facility, activity space) are set behind the other more social blocks. The configuration of the volumes creates an open courtyard that exposes the social spaces to the street and integrates the building within its immediate developed context.
