The site is situated at Prince Port in Liverpool, as indicated by the arrow in the sketch. An aged
wooden port enclosed by guardrails, adorned with numerous seagulls taking respite. The
weathered wooden structures exhibit signs of fragility, notably depicted by the presence of moss
on the wooden beams.

Last semester we were asked to design a power station and I decided to replace these wooden
piers with a tidal power station supported on concrete bases. Therefore, the design location
for this semester was limited to a rectangular site with a quarter circle opposite the tidal power
station.

The building to be designed this semester is a theatre. As a building merged into a complex with
the last semester’s building, I designated the connection between the two as “park”. I hope that
the two can be combined into one place to stay in urban life. Passersby do not necessarily enter
for a specific purpose such as visiting a power station or watching a play. It will become a leisure
place that retains necessary functions.
