This project is an art college located in the neighbourhood of the University of Liverpool. It covers an area of 15 square metres. The building has been designed to facilitate collaboration and interdisciplinary dialogue between the three studios of the college. At the centre of the building is a vertical plaza – a central space for informal social, intellectual and creative exchange. Conventional studios are often small, single rooms that are not conducive to interdisciplinary dialogue. The building aims to enable students to appreciate the work of others by reducing visual barriers.
