As part of the September installation of the Women of the Welfare Landscape exhibition at the National Trust’s Buscot and Coleshill Estate, we are delighted to announce the opportunity for visitors to join us at both a launch of the exhibition, as well as a tour of Brenda Colvin’s own garden, Little Peacocks, in Filkins.
Full details and information on how to book and travel between the two locations is available on the Eventbrite listing.
The exhibition is taking place in the Timber Store, Carpenters Yard, Coleshill, next to the café, where you may be able to buy refreshments. In addition to the instillation of the exhibition visitors are able to add on a tour of Colvin’s garden at Little Peacocks, her home which has remained one of the two Colvin & Moggridge offices. Transport is not provided, with the office located in the village of Filkins, Lechdale. There will be two short introductory talks at 12 midday, and 1pm. The tour will be led by Chris and Stephanie Carter. Chris is a Consultant at Colvin & Moggride and has known and cared for the garden for many years. By booking onto the garden tour you are automatically invited to the morning launch event.
