This project aims to promote a self-sufficient and sustainable village for fragile future, which is introducing urban farming such as aquaponics and hydroponic farming. The site is a public realm that has a role of a ‘piazza’ hence, tried to leave the space for public activity and keep permeability. Ground floor level has a role of buffering between the public realm and the pavilion, therefore, there is a pond and sitting area for the public. The top floor acts as an observatory by its height which is available to watch Huyton’s most iconic heritage ‘ st. Michael church and Huyton station. The main structure is made of recycled street light posts with prefabricated steel structures. Rainwater harvest through the roof slope is collected to the pond and gives a cascade effect by a pump.
