As an architecture student, I have had the incredible opportunity to embark on a unique academic journey through a 2+2 program. My first two years were spent at XJTLU in China, immersing myself in the rich architectural heritage of the East. The following two years brought me to Liverpool, where I have been granted a prestigious scholarship to further refine my skills and knowledge in Western architecture.
Throughout my studies, I have sought to broaden my perspective by gaining practical experience in both Shanghai and Liverpool. These vibrant cities have provided me with invaluable insights into the diverse challenges and opportunities that exist within the architectural realm. By working in these contrasting environments, I have developed a deep appreciation for the ways in which architecture can address social issues and shape the fabric of a community.
One particular aspect of architecture that has captivated me is the fusion of Asian cultures and elements with Western or modern design principles. I am passionate about finding innovative ways to combine the richness of Eastern traditions with the functionality and aesthetics of contemporary architecture. This desire to create a harmonious blend of East and West has become the driving force behind my design aspirations.
Through my work, I aspire to bridge the gap between cultures, creating spaces that celebrate diversity and foster cross-cultural understanding. I believe that architecture has the power to transcend borders and unite people through shared experiences and appreciation of each other’s heritage. By integrating Asian influences into Western architecture, I aim to create spaces that are not only visually stunning but also deeply rooted in cultural context.
As I embark on this journey, I am committed to honing my skills, embracing new challenges, and pushing the boundaries of design. I am eager to collaborate with like-minded individuals who share my passion for cultural integration and social impact. By connecting East and West through my architectural endeavors, I hope to contribute to a more inclusive and harmonious world.
