The scheme proposes a heritage training and interpretation centre with an accommodation space located in the centre of Buddusò. The main functions are located at the west building and accommodation at the east building. In the middle of the site, a cave inspired by Doshi has been proposed. Users can experience the interpretation / exhibition space on granite heritage in Sardinia below ground level like a granite quarry, whilst enjoying the cork oak tree and landscaping above ground. The central design driver centres around the idea of the heritage as architecture; where even the roof structures of the building are cladded in cork.
