Re-Story House, located on Derby Road in Huyton Village High street is a my proposal for a cultural hub that celebrates, art, crafts, sustainability, performance and spectacle.

After the loss of the Huyton Central Library and The Venue, a community centre and events space in the town centre, the small town have continued on without place to gather and socialise that is inclusive for everyone. The Re-Story House aims to reclaim the high street as a place to gather, upcycle, share skills and socialise.

The hub contains a kitchen and café, library , study spaces, meeting rooms, classrooms, events spaces, retail space, roof top garden and studio theatre. The Re-story House also makes use of re-used scaffolding from a temporary demountable carnival hub by Huyton station, this scaffolding is used as indoor and outdoor market stalls and exhibition spaces. During summer seasons, a medium- scale temporary scaffolding food market/ pavilion is erected on the façade of the hub as a public realm intervention and celebration material sustainability and art.
