A building can create an independent small world, or it can be a continuation of the natural environment, or it can be both.
The project is located at the end of Huyton High Street and uses the existing steel structure to design a new community centre for the local community. the main concept of the design is to meet specific functional needs by creating a building within the building, while creating a flexible and interactive space in between.
Such a spatial form is to introduce the public character of high street into the interior of the building, while giving more possibilities. The facade design of the project is characterized by high-tech facade elements that create a variable architectural threshold. The main purpose is to deal with the relationship between the building and the outside world on different occasions.
It might be called inward sprawl，because there are certain spatial things inside the building that you cannot stop exploring.
